As a Pedestrian
- Observe pedestrian safety rules e.g. follow traffic lights
- Use zebra-crossings, footbridges or subways when crossing roads
- Don't play in the street or driveway

As a Cyclist
- It is safer to wear a bicycle helmet and other protective devices
to protect oneself from injury
- Check that the brakes are working and the tyres are well-inflated
and intact
- Make sure the chain guards are secure and all screws and bolts
are tight
- Cycle in safe places e.g. cycling path
- Always place both hands on the handlebars of the bicycle for
steering
- Avoid dangerous acts e.g. riding carelessly on the road, gliding
down a slope quickly

- Use safety belts
- Don't lean any part of your body out of the automobile window
- Don't disturb the driver during the journey
