Common negative emotions after exam results include disappointment, worry and sadness.

Candidates may feel disappointed or even cannot accept results.

Candidates may feel worthless when facing with parental disappointment and blaming.

When candidates know their chances of entering universities or particular courses are slimmer than ever, they may give up other choices or themselves totally.

When candidates and parents argue with each other over course selection, candidates may feel not being understood or supported. It results in further escalation of negative emotions.
